TORSTEN KLEINTorsten Klein is a central figure through all the books in The Ereptio Series. The trim 61-year-old widower is the head of Grubervolksbank AG, the oldest bank in Switzerland. Swiss privacy laws shroud the bank from scrutiny and it is widely suspected as being owned by Klein and his family. Klein holds several positions on non-profit foundations, most notably The Knights of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. Commonly referred to as The Holy Sepulchre the order. Klein works closely with the head of the order, Archbishop A`mer Barjat and frequently works from an office he holds in the orders offices in the Palazzo della Rovere, Rome.
Klein was born in Zurich and attended Gordonstoun School in Scotland before studying history at Cambridge and economics at Harvard. Klein then spent several years working for the family bank at its offices around the world before returning to Switzerland permanently at the age of thirty-three as head of its oversees operations. Klein assumed the role of chairman after the death of his father in 1994. Klein married the daughter of a wealthy French businessman but Veronique Saint-Clair died giving birth to their second child Brigit. Age : 61 years Status: Widowed Veronique died during childbirth.
